OFF CAMERA

Hello,

First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to visit my site. I will divide this bio into two sections: Professional and Personal. Under professional, you will find how I started, where I went, and where I am today. Under personal, you will find an assorted array of nonsense that will give you an idea of who I am away from the camera.

Professional:

I was born on January 22, 1991. I spent my childhood growing up in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania. It is a small town an hour south of Pittsburgh. At the age of 5, my mother enrolled me in my first dance classes at Moschetta's Performing Arts Center. Barbara Moschetta and her daughter Jacqueline, set the bar high for personal achievement and left big shoes to fill for any instructors in my future. With them, I studied a variety of tap, jazz, and ballet at a competitive level for 13 years.

The entertainment industry has had a hold on me since as far back as I can remember. When it was time for me to move onto college, I had one thing on my mind...where can I go to school and still pursue my passion of performing? One look at Wilmington, North Carolina and my answer was quite clear. When I enrolled at UNC Wilmington, the North Carolina film industry was booming. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Operations Management. (Why business, you ask? There is great meaning in the nickname "show-business.")

Shortly after I graduated, the tax incentives for the film and television industry in North Carolina were cut. All productions started moving to Georgia. This is where I meet you today. I followed that move. I am currently studying the teachings of Sanford Meisner with my mentor, Erin Burns. I hope to continue to improve my craft with constant training and new experiences. I look forward to what the coming days may bring.

Personal:

On to the assorted array of nonsense.

I am the daughter of Edward and Renee Janco. I have a pet tiger (tabby cat...tomato, tomato) named "Raja". Yes, she is named after Jasmine's Tiger from Disney's Aladdin. I have two sisters. We do not have an ounce of blood in common. One, I have known my entire life. She is one of the most brilliant individuals I have ever met. She danced next to me in my first dance recital to the tune of "A Spoon Full of Sugar." The other came into my life shortly after the city of Wilmington. She is full of life and meets my craziness with a different but yet, equal level of her own. Although I grew up in Pennsylvania, my heart will forever be in a small beach town along the Carolina coast.

Things I have an intense love for: family, friends, and everything Disney. Things I despise: lima beans, being cold, carnations, and people with entitlement issues. As Victoria Beckham once stated, "I can't understand when people get cocky; there is always somebody else waiting in the wings." That leads me to my favorite celebrity...her. If you have to ask why, you must have been under a rock during the era of the Spice Girls. I collect movies, books, pins, and vinyl records. My favorite books are The Great Gatsby and the entire Harry Potter series. (I am still awaiting my Hogwarts acceptance letter.) My favorite actor is, none other than, the great Robert DeNiro. Please don’t make me pick a favorite actress. Y’all are killing it. Girl Power. If I could live in any decade, it would be the 1920's. My favorite flowers are daisies. My favorite food is pizza, but honestly I like almost everything. (Please refer back to my lima bean comment.) Chocolate strawberries make me smile. I would live off of them if I could. "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" by Frankie Vallie makes my heart skip a beat. It is my favorite song. Stop waiting to find out my favorite movie. That's too much pressure. I love to laugh. Mermaids and motorcycles fascinate me. If you don't consider going to the movies exciting, then my social life will bore you. I make sure to order a kid's pack every time. (Perfect amount of popcorn and fruit snacks.) Cute? I think so. Anyway... I am extremely spontaneous. I love to travel. My favorite places are Edinburgh, Scotland and London, England. I enjoy being difficult. I make it a point to stay away from any place that sells anything. My shopping addiction is strong. I hate bugs...all bugs, spiders especially. Clowns are not amusing. My biggest fear is a life unlived. If you have advice, I want to hear it. (Whether I'll actually listen.. well, that's a whole new ball game.) My favorite sports are baseball and wrestling. (Wrestling as in the Olympic kind. To me, that is the only kind.) Halloween is my favorite holiday. Something about pumpkins and being able to dress as Jasmine, spells out happiness in my eyes. My favorite T.V. show will always be Buffy the Vampire Slayer. (Yes, I know, there have been great shows since then...don't make me choose.)  I do, actually, enjoy long walks on the beach and bonfires. My favorite restaurant is Causeway Cafe. Batman is, of course, my favorite superhero. Let's not get into that debate. I love meeting new people. I love hearing new stories.

If you have made it to the end of this book, bless your soul. On a serious note, thank you for your support. I mean that with all of my heart.

Smiles, Sam.
